I'm John Zimmerman. I work for EDS, currently supporting Xerox. I do a wide
variety of things with Infrastructure systems. I've been using Perl for
about 4 years, mainly for systems utils, text processing and systems
management reporting. I've found Perl to be my preferred language do to ease
of moving scripts between Win32 and Unix platforms.

As you have probably figured out by the last message, I have finally
gotten a mailing list set up.  I'd like to think of this as a first step
to creating a cool users group.

Why don't we start out with introductions?

I'm Brian Mathis.  I'm currently working at Kodak doing all around
Intranet and System administration, etc..  I also do miscellaneous Perl
and web work on the side.

I've been working with Perl for over 5 years now, and it's my language
of choice.  I've tried my hand at writing a few modules and all sorts of
other stuff for / in perl, mostly system utilities and CGI scripts...

So what about the rest of you?  We need to start somewhere.  Remember,
this is as much a social group as it is a resource for Perl.
