Hello all,

My name is Drew, and I'm currently a 4th year student at RIT finishing
up a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology concentrating my
studies in web design/development and databases. Unfortunately there
have been no classes offered here at RIT for PERL, so I have been
learning it on my own. I've only been toying with it for the past few
months so I guess I can be considered the newbie of the group. :)

However, I will be using PERL extensively soon for creating online forms
that retrieve from databases. Though I'm not an avid fan of programming,
I have several years of C++ and VB experience, but PERL captivated  me
as easier (syntax-wise) and much more fun to learn (structure-wise) than
say, C++. Therefore I'm anxious to learn more. Nice to know that a few
share my interests.
