for the Peninsula the features need to be relevant to a larger<br>
audience: problems faced by many small businesses or home users that<br>
can be solved with free software.<br>

It uses a software called smstools . It can be an easy alternative for any high cost mobile alert systems etc.We'd used it with Nagios in Red Hat for system alerts to be messaged to our mobile phones.<br><br>For the one with kannel, the write-up is little different, I'll try writing that and posting it here. It has two modes of operation- one using the GSM modem and the other using the SMPP gateway from QTel .<br>
