I understand LaTeX document preparation system can be included in these notebooks but haven't figured out how to do it yet. I really like the "literate programming" technique of putting code, code comments, and scientific exposition using normal mathematical notation, figures, and tables in the same input file. It makes it so much easier to explain things. By the way, I like Jupyter notebooks better than the default Mathematica technical computing environment notebooks and have already suggested to the makers of Mathematica, Wolfram Research, that they use notebooks where Wolfram Language (the Mathematica coding language) and LaTeX document preparation input can both be used. -mark NOTE TO SELF: .tags LaTeX Jupyter Jupyter notebooks Mathematica Mathematica notebooks Perl Perl 6 Perl notebook Perl 6 notebook Wolfram Wolfram language .etags From jacoby.david at gmail.com Mon Jan 22 09:37:18 2018 From: jacoby.david at gmail.com (Dave Jacoby) Date: Mon, 22 Jan 2018 12:37:18 -0500 Subject: [Purdue-pm] =?utf-8?b?V2Ug4p2kIEhhY2tpbmcsIEJ1dC4uLg==?= Message-ID: It has been brought to my attention that Feb 14, the regularly-scheduled date of our next Perl Mongers and Food & Beer & Chat, is also Valentine's Day.
