Subject: Perl Mongers meeting

Perl Mongers,

There will be a Purdue Perl Mongers meeting at 6pm, Tuesday, September 10
in MSEE B-12.  The presentation will last one hour.  Redistribute this
notice if you'd like.

Mark Senn [1] will critique an existing Perl 5 [2] program and
    o  make improvements to it
    o  discuss possibile improvements that really aren't
    o  rewrite the program using new features in Perl 6 [3]

Prosper [4] will be used to for the presentation.

So, come if you are ny of the following
    o  are interested in Perl
    o  would like to know how to program better in Perl 5
    o  want to know about some of the new features under development in Perl 6
       (I expect other languages will start using these new features also)
    o  are interested in a free and open alternative to Microsoft PowerPoint
       that produces better output, runs on more platforms, and does
       animation
