Hello,

At the Strata Rx
Conference<http://post.oreilly.com/rd/9z1ztoqp4v1i1dmc0f2r45ohjrbcflh8he83cdfg9ig>,
Tim O'Reilly, founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, asked for support of a
proposed federal rule that expands patients' access to their test results.
Tim added his signature on a
letter<http://post.oreilly.com/rd/9z1zciof4h6gvjvucta4t1dptd38hjnsjprcehlahs8>to
the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) urging finalization
of
the rule, joining Aneesh Chopra, Esther Dyson, Jamie Heywood, Susan Love,
David Lindeman, and Ann Waldo in a rapidly growing group of healthcare and
technology leaders.

"I'm convinced that there's a wave of innovation coming in healthcare,
driven by new kinds of data, new ways of extracting meaning from that data,
and new business models that data can enable," Tim says. While much of that
data is still unavailable, efforts such as this consensus letter advance
the progress of open data in healthcare.

Tim asks you to add your
signature<http://post.oreilly.com/rd/9z1zm6suhr71ublk081q035tnlld34urq174u9r9hdo>to
this important letter.
