Works for me. There's lots of overlap. But I know nothing about other
organizations.
To jump-start publicity for such a group, I can invite Nat Torkington, chair
of O'Reilly's Open Source Convention, to come to the Springs to talk: editor
for O'Reilly and Associates, Project Manager of the Perl 6 Project, and
content coordinator for the Open Source Convention. Coauthored the Perl
Cookbook with Tom Christiansen.

I met him as OSCON this year. He lives in Ft. Collins.
If the group wants to move on this, someone has to step forward to own it.
All I can commit to is the invitation and an attempt to persuade him to
accept. But I can't even promise I can be at the event.
