I'm taking a job with NxTrend starting a week from Monday. Besides being a Progress-hacker, I'm a bit of a Perl hacker too. In fact, I have managed a good amount of both advertising and programming for what I think is a promising Internet start-up, but am looking for some assistance. Is it appropriate to give more details here? I look forward to hearing back George Jempty -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Welcome, wwilliams@mountain-cad.com and George Jempty . We already had a round of introductions. Would anyone object to my posting them at our Web site? (http://pikes-peak.pm.org/) I need to update it anyway to say that we meet for lunch the Wednesday before the first Friday of each month. (Timed that way to hit two days before the Pikes Peak Linux Users Group. ) On a different subject, George wrote: >... Is it appropriate to give more details here? How about taking it offline? Visit http://takeitoffline.com to set up a URL to host the discussion. I just learned about this nifty service from http://tbtf.com. George, I don't think there's a problem with you sending an intro to this list and including a URL to host the follow-up discussion. Anyone have a better idea? To summarize, there are two action items: 1. If you don't want you intro listed at our Web site, reply with your objection. 2. George, reply with an intro for your start-up idea. <>< Tim http://www.netbox.com/tbc From jb4mt at verbatims.com Thu Oct 7 07:01:28 1999 From: jb4mt at verbatims.com (George Jempty) Date: Thu Aug 5 00:18:34 2004 Subject: Internet start up discussion Message-ID: <002201bf10bb$b0dc0040$73200718@blvue1.ne.home.com> Cool resource, Tim! The server was down for maintenance, and when it came up, our page was gone. The admin says the data is there, but he reconfigured the host to only allow access via SSH. I need to re-register my password, which I've done, and then I need to figure out the problem. I'll write again when it's fixed. 2. I've been trying to organize a Perl Mongers lunch every month on the Wednesday before the Pikes Peak Linux Users Group meeting. That would be November 3rd. But I'll be out of town next week. If anyone wants to organize a lunch, please reply to all and get it going. Otherwise, I'll line up something for December 1st. <>< Tim http://www.netbox.com/tbc
