don’t know me I’m a fellow Perl Monger and have even spoken at two
meetings (such wow :p). I’ve been at GPS Insight for a little
over a year now and it’s a great company to work for - with good
work life balance and fun stuff like company sponsored parties,
free tickets to Phoenix Suns games, concerts, etc.</div>

vehicle tracking solution for businesses. It might not sound that
hard but there’s a lot to it. A lot of the stuff people see is the
front end shiny stuff written by the JavaScript and PHP type
developers (we’re probably hiring those too if you have friends
who specialize in that).</div>

bowels of the organization - where most fear to tread - is the
Perl code. This is the stuff that keeps the "trains (or in this
case trucks) on time" and can be found running in cron jobs and
daemons on Linux servers. It painstakingly gets/puts/verifies data
using methods ranging from API calls to FTP, and updates tables
with complex SQL queries with an eye towards performance.</div>

Moose but we do use OO Perl (as well as scripts) and fun stuff
like Redis and Git and some oldies but (sometimes) goodies like
Bash. </div>

been on the Inc 5000 list for the past 5 years and is still
growing. It just had its 10 year anniversary and there are about
80 employees. However, the back end team is still small and
there’s a lot to do so you have a chance to make an impact here.</div>
