[Phoenix-pm] small custom apps to make life worth living - post notes to google calendar

At our last meeting we talked a bit about those small programs we
whipped up in 5 minutes and then refined over years -- the ones that
save tremendous amounts of time or add significant convenience in small
amounts of code. I presented polly, my multi-media player wrapper.

Today I wrote up a blog entry on a command-line note taking program I
use. And the slight extension of the thing for the day is to make it
post to Google Calendar using the very lovely Net::Google::Calendar.
Since there was interest in the other program, I thought I'd share this
too.

I think that we should come up with a code-size vs time/convenience
impact index that we can apply to programs. Code size I say we measure
in gzipped bytes... but I'm not so sure how to measure time-saved or
convenience-added :)

What are y'all up to?
