There was some chatter earlier in the month about getting together but I don't think anything came of it. I have been sick and out of touch. I know Barrie has a standing Thursday conflict. Weekends are obviously bad and that includes Friday. So that leaves us Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Are there any standing conflicts we should try to schedule around. My goal is to set up a new standing meeting day for 2010 that may not be doable until people have new schedules set for the new year. I am looking for dates for a November meeting and a December meeting. I anticipate November and December to be social meetings. If someone wants to give a talk fantastic but I am not going to beat the bushes for talks until 2010. Without other feedback I suggest: Tuesday Nov 10 7:00pm at Sharp Edge Tuesday Dec 8 7:00pm at Sharp Edge Thanks all Robert From hdp.perl.pm.pgh at weftsoar.net Wed Oct 28 08:47:38 2009 From: hdp.perl.pm.pgh at weftsoar.net (Hans Dieter Pearcey) Date: Wed, 28 Oct 2009 11:47:38 -0400 Subject: [pgh-pm] Pittsburgh Perl Mongers November and December meeting - What day? The best I can figure is that Monday is a decent day for a meeting. So I propose the second Monday of the month meetings at 7:00 locations TBD. Tentative schedule if Monday seems good. I have not confirmed this with any speakers yet. 2009 Nov 9 - Social meeting at Sharp Edge Dec 14 - Sean McCune - MacRuby (We need a location. Sugestions welcome.) 2010 Jan 11 - Hans Dieter Pearcey - PSGI/Plack Feb 8 - Chris Winters - REST Mar 8 - Casey West - jQuery Apr 12 - Robert Blackwell - GNU Screen/AJAX/Arduino May 10 - TBD Jun - I suspect YAPC in Columbus will be this month Jul - 12 - TBD Aug - 9 - TBD {Sep, Oct, Nov} - If we have a PPW (I think we will) I suspect it will be in on of these months. Website FYI: I am aware it needs to come back to life. Looks like a plan is shaping up. Looking forward to getting Pittsburgh Perl Monger meetings going again and not just having PPW/YAPC planning meetings. Robert
