The last few meetings we have gone to Sharp Edge Beer Emporium (http://www.sharpedgebeer.com/). That may or may not be where we go this meeting. Cool stuff show & tell We've started a tradition of people talking very informally about new stuff they've been working with in the past month. It could be some new package that you've started using, a library that you particularly like, or anything else, really... I have a local copy of the ppd and have it listed as repository in ppm. When I attempt to install POE I get an error message saying that it requires Carp to be installed. I did a search for Carp and installed all of the modules (Why can't there be just one comprehensive package?), but the error remains. -laweber From chris at cwinters.com Wed Sep 28 06:38:19 2005 From: chris at cwinters.com (Chris Winters) Date: Wed, 28 Sep 2005 09:38:19 -0400 Subject: [pgh-pm] POE and ppm In-Reply-To: <03F517C72D42284EBB48800AEF3E7D1D84D60B@exchptc1.switch.com> References: <03F517C72D42284EBB48800AEF3E7D1D84D60B@exchptc1.switch.com> Message-ID: <20050928133818.GA22577@www.openinteract.org> * Weber, Larry A (laweber at switch.com) [050927 08:32]: > Has anyone in the group successfully installed POE 0.32 on an Win98 or WinXP > PC? > > I have a local copy of the ppd and have it listed as repository in ppm. > When I attempt to install POE I get an error message saying that it requires > Carp to be installed. I have a batch file + set of PPDs I use whenever installing Perl to a new Win32 machine. You can grab an archive of them at: http://www.cwinters.com/raw/win32_perl_modules.zip Note that it installs quite a few other modules as well, but hard drive space is cheap! Chris
