Grant Street Group creates and maintains customized Web sites for auctions
and other transactions of financial securities and instruments that serve
the particular needs of Banks, Broker-Dealers, Financial Advisors,
Government Sponsored Enterprises, Institutional Investors, State and Local
Governments, and Municipal Lease Originators and Brokers.

Grant Street Group is seeking a Database Programmer to work on:
- data collection from disparate data feeds and formats
- parsing and loading data into various databases
- database administration
- database performance tuning and optimization

This will require strong Perl programming skills, as well as strong
database programming and administration skills.

Responsibilities will include programming, developing functional
specifications, data modeling, documentation, and quality assurance.


Required skills:
- Minimum three years of Perl programming in a Unix environment.
- Expertise in Perl DBI, relational databases, SQL and database
administration.
- Proficiency with Apache and mod_perl.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.


Desired skills:
Experience with any of the following is helpful:
- Oracle, DB2, Sybase, MySQL
- CVS
- HTML, JavaScript and CSS
- Numerical and financial calculations
- Production Web environments
- Linux server system administration and troubleshooting
