Subject: [pgh-pm] Please do Talks!

This is jus a reminder about the June meeting. Please email me about
doing a talk. We really need talks. Everyone can do talks, I know
it. I know that some of you on this list use Perl to run some really
high-profile systems, tell us a little about them.
You all do cool things with Perl, or even in general, that we want to
hear about. If you have /anything/ interesting to share, just email
me and I will help you form it into a quick thing to talk about.
So c'mon! (please)
Also, if you have a better cheap idea for us for the evening, please
let me know.

*Social Gathering*
Tonight we meet up with the Zets. They hold Zets Pizza Night (ZPN)
every Wednesday at 19:30. The Zets are a technical group that have
existed since 1986 in the Pittsburgh Area, this should be good fun.

Was there a meeting today?
The website is *VERY* unclear -- http://pgh.pm.org indicates
a meeting on 5/12/2003 at 19:00. When I click on that, I get
a page where the top says 5/14/2003, and suggests that it's
either 19:00 or 19:30. I went to Sorrento's (I think), and
there was a sign on the door indicating that it was closed.
*sigh*
I guess the next meeting, whenever it is, will be my first
one :P

I'm sick. Yuck. Hope it's not SARS. It certainly isn't fun.
Looks like I won't be making it to tomorrow's meeting, unless I'm doing
a whole lot better after my doctor's appointment at about 5:30. I mean,
I suppose I could technically make it to the meeting, but I expect I'll
be spending my time stumbling and blowing my nose and medicating.
That run-on sentence tired me out. I sleep now.

It was Monday, May 12, 2003 when Pat Gunn took the soap box, saying:
: Was there a meeting today?
: The website is *VERY* unclear -- http://pgh.pm.org indicates
: a meeting on 5/12/2003 at 19:00. When I click on that, I get
: a page where the top says 5/14/2003, and suggests that it's
: either 19:00 or 19:30. I went to Sorrento's (I think), and
: there was a sign on the door indicating that it was closed.
: *sigh*
I am quite sorry for this mixup, but the meeting is on Wednesday at
Sorrento's. I hope to see you there, and I've fixed the web site as
well.
But just for reference, states:
Meetings are always held on the *second Wednesday* of every month at
*19:00* , except times when they aren't held the second Wednesday of
every month at 19:00. Announcements will be made in the event of a
schedule change.
And our only meeting so far that will not be at this prescribed date
and time will be in June, and
states:
*Note:* This meeting is *not* on the second Wednesday of the month,
it's on the second Saturday.
: I guess the next meeting, whenever it is, will be my first
Again, sorry for the confusion, I hope to see you tomorrow.
