Geek Night 30 will be Thursday, August 14 at Valhalla.  Note the
change in place and date!

We've had a fun hiatus here at Geek Night World Headquarters.  We
sang songs, climbed mountains, cured diseases, and opened new
frontiers.  We saved the manatees. We laughed, we cried, we became
better people.

Well, technically, we just wrote a lot of code and watched Daily Show
reruns.  But all that other stuff is what's going on our resumes.

Now we're bored with the hiatus thing, but the Foundry,
unfortunately, is closed indefinitely.  Therefore, we're pleased to
announce that Geek Night is moving to Valhalla.

Geek Night is a highly informal gathering of people in the Pittsburgh
high-tech industry.  There's no dress code, and no cover charge.
Show up anytime after 5:00pm, and leave when you feel like it.

For August ONLY, Geek Night will be on the second Thursday, which is
August 14.  Warn your fellow geeks!  After this, we'll back on our
regular schedule of the first Thursday of every other month.

Valhalla is located in the Strip District at 1150 Smallman St.,
between the Convention Center and the History Center.  It'll cost you
$3.00 to park for the evening in the big parking lot on Smallman St.,
but there's a limited amount of street parking available.  We'll have
the entire upstairs.  Smoking will be outside ONLY, but that includes
the comfy upstairs balcony.

If you plan on coming, please send email to rsvp at pghgeeks.org so we
can maintain a reasonably accurate headcount. Please mention how many
heads you're bringing, who told you about us, and your preferred
email address if you would like to be added to the Geek Night mailing
list.
