<div>Can't you just do the configure, make and make test on the module, but not make install. Then copy the directory that the make created to a perllib folder in your home directory. Then just add a use lib "/home/user/perllib"; line and you can start using you modules. I did this recently after waiting for way to long for dreamhost to do it for me and it worked.
