One topic of discussion here might be net neutrality, since that is a big issue for many of us these days that is under threat by our current governmental administration and the FCC. There is a rally that has been set up for this coming Monday at 5:00 PM outside of Senator Wyden's office in the courtyard as noted here (hopefully with no rain then!):

I know that we have had many folks from Dreamhost strongly present in past PERL monger meetings, and this company has been strong about protecting Net Neutrality and it’s customers’ rights as internet site host providers along with their customers in recent months too. Hopefully some can show up here and we can discuss them having a role in this movement. And those from other companies that are also interested in this issue would also be strongly encouraged to speak up on this too. I think this sort of topic is probably best discussed over a beer and a bite to eat too, so it would be good to have it here or wherever we might decide to meet Thursday.

Send me a personal email if you want to contact me on this topic outside of the meeting time.
