a contest to introduce
*pre-university students* to the many kinds of contributions that make open
source software development possible. It runs from November 26, 2012 to
January 14, 2013 and will include tasks related to programming,
documentation, outreach, research, quality assurance, and user interfaces.
Tasks are assigned points and prizes are awarded. *Twenty grand-prize
winners* will receive a trip to Google's Mountain View headquarters for
themselves and a parent or legal guardian for an award ceremony. Get

a community event where developers learn from each other. In addition
targeted discussions around code, other event topics include software
branding and legal issues. All are welcome to attend and speak. Sessions
will range from informal 'chalk talks' to full-on presentations. There will
be a mix of presenters, so if you're looking for an opportunity to brush-up
on your public speaking skills, Code Camp may be a welcoming event for you.
