Trans-hemispheric hello, Portlanders!
Love Perl? Good at it? Looking for Perl work? Looking to do a little
travelling? Then come on down!
The company I work for, Strategic Data, is looking to hire one or two
more Perl folks, and Portland's reputation for having good Perl folks is
well known down here, and not just because I won't shut up about it.
We're a small company with under 10 programmers and various other folks
doing work for governments and universities. Web services, web surveys,
data munging, that's us! There are no pointy-haired bosses, and most
people cycle to work. Also, there's a dart board in the office.
We're looking for new hires in this order:
- Someone interested in living down here. And why wouldn't you be? The
weather's nice, there's public transportation, the economy's doing
well, there's amazing street art, and everyone talks funny!
- Someone interested in doing ~3 months here, and then doing longer-term
work back home.
- Someone interested in doing just ~3 months of work here.
Strategic Data will help with moving costs and visas, of course.
If you're interested, drop me a line and a resume, and I'll get the ball
Your erstwhile leader,
