... and now I find out that ingy was nearly killed in a traffic accident
in Taiwan four weeks ago.

With work to catch up on, I imagine it will be some time before ingy 
puts much attention on kwiki .  So how does one go about fixing code
during the temporary absence of the principal maintainer?
