My grandmother took ill a while ago and passed away last Friday, so I've been tending to family business. My first attempt at securing the room at Beautiful Pizza failed as the person who could reserve it for me wasn't there. I finally squared away enough family issues to go down to the place yesterday and try to get the room. No dice, it's already booked. In retrospect, once I knew what was going on with my family, I should have worked something out with someone, but I just dropped the ball. So, as a fallback plan, we'll go ahead and hit the Lucky Lab. I haven't contacted them, but since it's just a social meeting, I suppose that shouldn't be *too* much of a problem. Place: Lucky Lab Pub Address: 915 SE Hawthorne BLVD, Portland, OR Date and Time: 2002-03-13 at 6:30 PM URL: http://www.luckylab.com/ I won't be able to make it on Wednesday -- more family stuff -- so get in touch with Christian Brink (cb@onsitetech.com) if you have any questions or issues. He'll be at the meeting, so just be sure to look for the geek. Oh, wait. I guess that covers most of us, huh? In any event, remember the purpose of this meeting was general BS and to find out how the past couple of meetings have gone and if there is anything that we should change which will help people out. Also, the usual cry for office space will be heard a time or two. ===== "Ovid" on http://www.perlmonks.org/ Someone asked me how to count to 10 in Perl: push@A,$_ for reverse q.e...q.n.;for(@A){$_=unpack(q|c|,$_);@a=split//; shift@a;shift@a if $a[$[]eq$[;$_=join q||,@a};print $_,$/for reverse @A TIMTOWTDI From tex at off.org Fri Mar 15 00:52:13 2002 From: tex at off.org (Austin Schutz) Date: Wed Aug 4 00:05:31 2004 Subject: Difficulties In-Reply-To: <006301c1c93a$7ec8cea0$1a01a8c0@ot.onsitetech.com>; from cp@onsitetech.com on Mon, Mar 11, 2002 at 12:22:40PM -0800 References: <20020304204144.PTJM1214.rwcrmhc54.attbi.com@rwcrwbc57> <006301c1c93a$7ec8cea0$1a01a8c0@ot.onsitetech.com> Message-ID: <20020314225213.S817@gblx.net> On Mon, Mar 11, 2002 at 12:22:40PM -0800, Curtis Poe wrote: > Place: Lucky Lab Pub > Address: 915 SE Hawthorne BLVD, Portland, OR > Date and Time: 2002-03-13 at 6:30 PM > URL: http://www.luckylab.com/ > Duhhhhh... I went to the belmont joint despite the note. Hope y'all had a good time. Well, I know I did anyway, since the pizza place had the tonya - paula match. Pretty much went as I expected, though I figured tonya would take her out sooner. > I won't be able to make it on Wednesday -- more family stuff -- so get in > touch with Christian Brink (cb@onsitetech.com) if you have any questions or > issues. I think only 3 people showed up. This was due in part to my letting some family problems get in the way, so I apologize for that. The next meeting is April 10th. I don't yet have a venue as that was what we were going to talk about at the last meeting :) So, to tentatively get this out of the way, let's hear some quick ideas about where we should meet. I'll be near "Beautiful Pizza" tonight, so I'll see if there room is free, but it sounds like there's a regular booking which conflicts with us. In addition to not having a location, I don't have a speaker, either. Is anyone free and willing? Let me know. I have a presentation about code generation that I've been playing with, but I don't have a lot of free time and I'm not sure it will be ready in time.
