gnu c compiler headers and lib files

Greetings perlmongers,
To upgrade to Perl-5.6, I needed a c compiler. So I recently installed gcc-2.95.2 from the SGI freeware site. It expects to find various header and lib files that are reputed to be on the Development Foundation CD that comes with the IRIX6.5 installation. I can't seem to find them. Does any one have a suggestion for where to get the files needed to make gcc-2.95.2 on an O2 running IRIX 6.5?
