Subject: [Ottawa-pm] Returning to Ottawa, looking for conferences

Hello all,

I was glad to meet many of you this past winter when I worked at
Pythian. I'll be returning to Pythian and Ottawa this fall, and I'm
hoping for a rejuvenated Ottawa.pm meeting schedule.

As exciting as returning to Pythian is, I try to attend a conference
during every co-op work term to keep a bit of variety. I was able to
attend YAPC::NA last year, and I spent a day at the Canadian Internet
Forum this winter.

I'm interested in internet, privacy/security, and technology policy/law
conferences, but I'd also love to attend a tech conference. What
conferences should I be looking for in/around Ottawa this fall?

	Hmmm... That's a good question. I don't know of anything particularly 
big and fascinating, but surely there must be something. Guys... Anybody 
knows of cool upcoming events?

Not off-hand, but there are lots of good user groups like Ottawa.pm to check out (I presume you've heard of meetup.com? incidentally, it might be worth putting up an Ottawa.pm page on there).  I'm sure something will come up...

     And I still have your book, too. :-)

     In the next two weeks, I'm kinda busy preparing for YAPC::EU, and 
then I'll be gone till the 7th of September. But as soon as I'm back, 
I'll try to have a social meeting set up.
