   I'm excited about smartcd because it does lets me do all sorts of subtle shell optimizations which, collectively, add up to pretty awesome ball of time savers. 

   Also it's time I got off my ass and actually implemented a https://github.com/nicknisi/dotfiles equivalent for myself...  :)
