Quite true, ptkdb is a nice free alternative to Komodo's visual
debugger. It's also got the advantage of being written in Perl, so
presumably one could add features to it ("stitch in an editor")
and debug the resulting mess with itself.

Belden, hasn't tried that. Yet.
