Modis currently has an opening for a Perl Developer in White 
Plains, NY.  We
need a consultant for a 4-5 month project with one of our top clients, a
large bank.  Pay range is approx. $40.00/hr

Education: BS/BA - CS, CIS, EE, Math or equivalent technical studies

Experience: 2-5 years with specialization in analysis and in programming
business applications. 3+ years programming with Perl, Oracle and J2EE
(using VAJ).

ABILITIES:
Prepare high level component designs from general requirement statements
Prepare component design documentation
Provide assistance and training to junior team members
Estimate own work at a task level
Develop test plans for application component (or integrated application
modules)
Design drivers to test integrated modules
Be familiar with several operating environments
Require minimal supervision
Develop test plans for application component (or integrated application
modules)
Design drivers to test integrated modules
Prepare application requirements from user input
Prepare system documentation
Plan and estimate work of team by phase
Report team work process at a phase level
Create system level test plans
Test total system
Ensure proper analysis of problems and programming design, thereby
preventing rework or schedule slippage

Contributes as a member of a team
Provide assistance and training to junior team members
Provide moderately complex technical directions to a small group of
programmers
Routine contacts with programmers outside the core programming team
