Perl Programmer/System Administrator - NYC
A commitment to open standards and open source software is important.
We're more interested in "jack/jill of all trades" types than someone
who is really focused on only one area. A few years of experience in the
business is adequate if they have been "interesting" experiences. We're
not that concerned what degree you may have (but you should have a
degree in something!).

The skills we need:

Must have:
Object-oriented Perl CGI programming
Experience working with Apache in a Unix environment
Relational databases: SQL and schema design

Good to have:
Experience designing large-scale systems in Perl
mod_perl
HTML::Mason
System administration experience in a Unix environment
C/C++ or Java
Experience on community sites
Evaluating outside free/open source or commercial products for use on a
site
Database administration
Load-balancing/proxying and stress testing web sites
