It is variable beginning at $995 for the first 10 students and the averaging down to $795 if we get 15 students. Contact for registration for the Perl class is Frank Overby, VA Dept. of Transportation. Registration is through RISE Website registration form. http://www.vdot.state.va.us/rise/ Go to Rise classes, go to forms index, select registration form. The form is in MS Word format. Complete the form and email it to rise@vdot.state.va.us. Once registered a confirmation will be forwarded to you. If it is an individual paying for the course (rather than a company) the company name and contact should be filled in with the individuals name. Also the individual will need to pay by check or credit card on the first day of class. Companies can provide a PO. Well.. there are a couple of ways to do this... if you have an entry delimiter ... such as a blank line .. you can do something like: $/ = "/n/n"; while ( $twolines = ) { #-- do whatever } $/ is the input record seperator ( man perlvar ). It delimits lines that are returned using a filehandle. If you don't .. you can do this if the lines are always exactly two lines .. ie .. you don't get a short entry that can be 1 or a long entry that can be 3 while ( $twolines = ) { # chomp; #-- if you don't want the \n in the middle. my $in = ; $twolines .= $in; #-- do whatever } Just make sure you start at the right place. If you need that nasty variable length one .. send me an example of your lines and I will reply with code. - branson ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Branson Matheson "If you are falling off of a mountain, Manager, Risk and Information Security You may as well try to fly." Thanks in advance. To the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing at this time. HRPM has a standing plan to do another free set of perl classes on Saturdays, but nothing has currently been set in stone. I was one of the instructors when we did it before and I've been insanely busy. If there's enough interest for doing a four or five day non-free perl class and we can arrange a training facility, I'd be happy to instruct it. :-) -- Those who cannot remember the past are doomed to buy Microsoft products.
