Heh, I'd forgotten I was subscribed to this list.  I use perl 
professionally in a wide variety of contexts... definitely my primary 
language.  I don't know if that qualifies as "around" (I'm in the 
Manchester area)... though I might be interested if an NH-mongers group 
became active.

Not going to YAPC::NA, though.
