Excellent. Thanks, Simon. I've already told James and he's excited, as am I. Dave /L\_/E\_/A\_/R\_/N\_/T\_/E\_/A\_/C\_/H\_/L\_/E\_/A\_/R\_/N\ Dave Cash Power to the People! Tonight is our monthly meeting at Fair Grinds coffee house (3133 Ponce de Leon in Mid-City, near the Whole Foods on Esplanade). Please note the new time of 5:30 to 8:00pm. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the meeting tonight. I'm in the midst of a move, which should be completed by the end of the weekend. Next month's meeting is shaping up to be a great one. Jim Keenan from Perl Seminar New York (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/perlsemny/) and NY.pm (http://ny.pm.org/) will be in town and will give a presentation on how to prepare your pet module for CPAN distribution, complete with info on building test suites. Simon has been kind enough to offer the use of his video projector for the evening (thanks, Simon!). I, for one, can't wait. Have a great meeting tonight! Topics I will touch upon include: -- use of ExtUtils::ModuleMaker as a replacement for h2xs -- best practices in module development -- most important modules in CPAN Test::* namespace If there are other specific questions you would like me to address, you can send them to me either on or off list. I'm pitching the talk to the "advanced beginner to intermediate" Perl programming level, in part because that's what I think you're looking for and in part because I would only classify myself as an "advanced intermediate' programmer. But I can provide references and links to the expert-level versions of such a talk. Hope your meeting of last night was a good one. Jim Keenan
