Deutscher Perl-Workshop 2014 in??? Message-ID: <20130306_084040_072078.pm.list@perl-services.de> Hallo zusammen, der 15. Deutsche Perl-Workshop findet nächste Woche in Berlin statt. - Renée From richard.foley at rfi.net Fri Mar 8 01:32:39 2013 From: richard.foley at rfi.net (Richard Foley) Date: Fri, 8 Mar 2013 10:32:39 +0100 Subject: [Munich-pm] [tobez@tobez.org: [pm_groups] Call for Venue for YAPC::Europe::2014] Message-ID: <20130308093233.GA19697@thpad> ----- Forwarded message from Anton Berezin ----- Date: Fri, 8 Mar 2013 10:27:51 +0100 From: Anton Berezin To: pm_groups at pm.org Subject: [pm_groups] Call for Venue for YAPC::Europe::2014 User-Agent: Mutt/1.5.21 (2010-09-15) Although YAPC::Europe::2013 preparations are well underway in Kiev, it is time for the venue committee of the YAPC::Europe Foundation (YEF) to think about the location of the 2014 conference. YAPC::Europe wouldn't exist without dedicated teams of volunteers, and we are always excited to see the enthusiasm and learn about the new ideas the community has to offer. Further information about preparing a complete application can be found at http://www.yapceurope.org/organizers/index.html . Proposals submitted to the venue committee will be added to this public repository (you may provide private information separately) to benefit future organizers. The deadlines which apply to this portion of the procedure are: * Saturday, 13 April: Deadline for sending a letter of intent. This letter simply expresses interest in hosting the conference and provides contact information (both email and telephone) for at least two organizers. This is an optional step but it can be to your advantage to alert the venue committee of your proposal. * Thursday, 27 June: Deadline for sending proposals to host YAPC::Europe 2014. If you do not receive a confirmation for your letter of intent or proposal within a couple of days, please personally contact a member of the venue committee. Please send your questions, letters of intent, and proposals to venue at yapceurope.org. -- Request pm.org Technical Support via support at pm.org pm_groups mailing list pm_groups at pm.org http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/pm_groups ----- End forwarded message ----- From richard.foley at rfi.net Tue Mar 19 01:42:09 2013 From: richard.foley at rfi.net (Richard Foley) Date: Tue, 19 Mar 2013 09:42:09 +0100 Subject: [Munich-pm] Raising Perl awareness on Tiobe + Wikipedia, etc. Message-ID: <20130319084209.GO29557@thpad> We need people with voting facilities (accounts) on Wikipedia to vot up Perl. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Perl#Move_to_.22Perl_.28programming_language.29.22 As you can see from the following Tiobe info: http://www.tiobe.com/index.php/content/paperinfo/tpci/index.html This is an initiative which is due to see a milestone at YAPC::EU::2013 in Kiev.
