Don't say "thereabouts" to me or I'll interpret it as sometime after  
Thanksgiving. =)

I'm interested in proposing talk(s), I wonder if I could get some  
feedback from the hosting group on what people are interested in, and/ 
or suggestions for how to approach certain topics.

  1) What Module::Build is, and what its original (and modified)  
design goals were (are), and how it's panning out

  2) How File::Spec is impossibly hard to use and how Path::Class can  
help

  3) How cool and different R (http://www.r-project.org) is, and how  
weird its OO system is, and how you can use R and Perl together
