I thought the meeting December 13th went well. We had both Arthur and Ardeshir there as first time visitors, plus Gary Allen and myself. Arthur is from MN living in New Jersey and is a former employee of IBM and Bell Labs. Ardeshir has written a web site to scan and display historicaly important images for a local library. He is currently working a a social networking website. Gary is still doing his same stuff he has been on for the last nine months. I thought it was nice to have 4 people to get to know people a bit better. With more people it seems like we jump around our topics much more (although we did that too). Looking forward to next month. What's up next month, Ian? And where is Dave R. at lately? Is he still around? (In perl of course.) Well, cron and Mail::Mailer (or whatever your email-sending module of choice is) would do it. Really, all it needs to do is send a mail on the second Tuesday of each month apologising for not having organised a technical meeting and promising one for the next month. Right. This seems suitable lightning talk: someone needs to volunteer to demonstrate the use of the Mail::Mailer (or Email::Send or whatever) module, with a case study of a script that can be cron'd monthly to send an apologetic email. Or MIME::Lite if you fancy. Or all three. Or more. > Maybe we would need a robotics component as well for real-world badgering. I for one welcome our robotic badger overlords. My guess is either that the module got mangled during installation, or it's not where Mailscanner thinks it is. Did you try doing perl -wc as it suggested? You'd need to find where the file describing MailScanner::CustomConfig::InitSQLWhitelist is (MailScanner/CustomConfig/InitSQLWhitelist.pm somewhere in your installation, at a guess) and then perl -wc [filename] It'll do a syntax check for you and make sure all's OK. I think it's more likely that the file just isn't where Mailscanner thinks it should be. Not having using Mailscanner, I can't proffer you any advice for how to remedy that problem. Ian
