Hi guys,

I have been talking with friends of mine about the possibility of
organizing a Perl Girls event here in Sofia.

Maybe some of you have heard about the Rails Girls( http://railsgirls.com )
events all over the world.
So I asked my self, why would we (the Perl community) don't organize
similar events.

What I'm thinking is very simple:

1. Create a site that does exactly the same think as Rails Girls does.
2. Add documentation for the organization and setup of the environments.
3. Design a few simple web applications that we can develop in a weekend. I
propose to use Dancer for these.
4. Prepare introduction slides for the event.
5. Prepare introduction slides for the actual projects.
6. Prepare introduction slides for basic things like HTML, CSS, JavaScript
and Perl Programming.


About the site I'm thinking about a few possible domains/hosts:
1. pm-girls.com
2. girls-pm.com
3. perl-girls.com
4. girls.pm.org
5. girls.perl.com/org

Most of the documentation I would copy and adapt from the Rails Girls site.

About the apps, I currently have two ideas:
1. Build a web site for sharing cooking recipes (and possibly uploading
pictures with them).
2. Web site for sharing and ranking links (stuff that the girls have liked
a lot).


What do you think about my idea?
