I have encountered this problem before. I also only needed one single layout, and would have preferred a templating tool, but I ended up writing a module which used PDF::Table and passing all of my data to that. It worked well for me, because a) the data was suitable for tables and b) I was gonna need a module to wrap it anyway for various reasons. Not sure if it would suit your layout requirements.<div>
