I have used DBIx::Class in the past but not with Moose ... from my looking at it, I'm not sure they're compatible. One of the parameters you give it is use_moose ( https://metacpan.org/pod/DBIx::Class::Schema::Loader::Base#use_moose), which generates Moose classes for the schema.
