OK, I've got this all sorted out now.

Tuesday October 9th. Freebase gathering. Bring your laptops.

For those who weren't there at the last MPM meeting, Freebase is a
free, creative-commons licensed database of everything (i.e. much
broader than Wikipedia), with APIs in various languages, including
Perl (Metaweb and/or WWW::Metaweb on CPAN), which allows you to write
applications, mashups, and all kinds of interesting things using the
data. You can see it in action at http://freebase.com/ -- check out
"Apps" for some of the applications.

At the MPM meeting last month we started modelling Perl Monger Groups
on Freebase. Perhaps if some Perl Mongers show up to the Freebase
gathering we can continue with this.

K.
