The May LUV Programmers SIG meeting is Tuesday May 22.

The topic will be "New modules for Perl" by Damian Conway, Perl guru at large.

  This talk gives an overview of a range of my latest (and oddest) modules,
  developed as part of my YAS-sponsored Perl Development Grant.

  The menu varies from season to season but currently includes:

  Filter::Simple
    Source filtering without the tears.
  String::EditDistance
    A kinder, gentler, fuzzy string matching mechanism
  Function::HigherOrder
    The proposed Perl 6 subroutine currying mechanism retrofitted to Perl 5
  Tie::LazyHash
    Safer, more first-virtuous, multi-level hash emulation
  Function::HigherOrder
    The proposed Perl 6 subroutine currying mechanism retrofitted to Perl 5
  Inline::Files
    __DATA__ on steroids
