This position is in Portland for 6 mos and the pay is negotiable.

Unix/Perl developer
Develop Unix-based Perl scripts and modules related to large data warehouse
extract and load processes and database queries. Tasks include the
enhancement of existing and the development of new extracts, update
scripts, and data load scripts in Perl 5 with considerable emphasis on
Oracle and PL/SQL.  Must be fluent in Perl 5, Unix commands and scripting
(Sun preferred), and familiar with CVS version control software.  High
quality, bug-free, maintainable code is required.  Must have recent
experience with Oracle 8 on Unix including excellent SQL skills, and
experience writing and debugging PL/SQL packages. Experience with TOAD is
helpful. Experience tuning database queries to enable efficient reporting
is helpful, though the job primarily is a hands-on Perl programming
position on Unix. This is a team programming position where excellent
interpersonal and communications skills are required.
Requires a minimum of three years experience with Oracle PL/SQL and a
minimum of four years experience writing large modules in Perl. Requires
considerable hands-on experience with Unix on Sun.
