booth at the Southern California Linux Expo (<a
href="http://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale5x/">SCALE 5X</a>) was a big hit! We
were overrun with people interested in knowing more about perl in general and
the <span class=spelle>la.pm</span> specifically. It's our hope that at the
next meeting will have a number of new faces in the crowd. I have to take this
time to also thank the volunteers who sat in the booth all weekend long and a
special thanks to Juan Natera who had such an excellent demo prepared and
working flawlessly. The demo really helped to drive home the real truth that
"perl is NOT slow!" <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
