Cost: Free Linked lists are still useful even in the world of auto-extending arrays: for effective memory management and simpler threading. The first part of this webcast talk describes how to implement generic linked-list containers using Perl syntax; the second portion shows an efficient Object-oriented list manager that avoids the most common pitfalls of OO linked lists. Message-ID: Hi Mongers, Our most recent out-of-town guest, is in town this week. Who want's to say hi to MJD (Mark Jason Dominus)? Maybe Wednesday night? DemandMedia is in the middle of an office move (He Rent.com folks, we'll be neighbors next week) so our conference rooms have been disassembled. If anyone wants to offer space to host (*cough* ZipRecruiter *cough*) we could do that. If not, how about someone steps up to plan a social? Emergency Social Meeting protocol: community members declare a time and place publicly and then show up there. peace, Andrew PS. YAPC was fun, Austin is a lovely town. More on that at our next meeting. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: Asking around the office, it doesn't actually sound like Wednesday night will work. We're probably going to be hosting a Haskell meetup here, and I think Mark was going to be attending that. Friday undoubtedly isn't a good night for a PM meeting, and that only leaves Thursday or tonight. ZipRecruiter already has our monthly board game night slated for this Thursday. We'd be happy to open that up to LA.pm if we want to make this a purely social meeting. Or this could just convert to a social gathering somewhere near the promenade here tonight. Otherwise we'll just have to make sure we get Mark back out here again soon On Tue, Jun 18, 2013 at 12:13 PM, Ryan Olson wrote: > I'm still awaiting spousal approval, but we'd be happy to show off the new > ZipRecruiter office tomorrow night. I'll be giving a presentation about Pinto to LA.pm on July 17th. Pinto is the ultimate tool for creating a private repository of Perl modules, so you can build your application with the right modules, every time. While I'm in town, I'd like to visit some of the local Perl shops. I'd love to meet your team and learn about how you manage your Perl modules, and give you a personal hands-on tour of Pinto. So let me know if you've got a conference room available on July 18th or 19th. I'll bring the catering! -Jeff -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
