LA Startup Weekend 2 is coming up at the end of February:

to pitch in wherever you can help) it can be a blast and you can meet
some really sharp people.

I think it would be cool to get something built in Perl if we can get a
group of developers.  If you're interested, sign up soon; the developer
tickets are probably going to sell out pretty quickly.

This also could be a great place to identify hard workers who may not be
putting themselves on the open market because they are comfortable with
their current job.  Or, strut your own skills and work ethic in front of
people who will eventually be hiring and might remember you down the road.

What better way to figure out if you work well together than to actually
work together for a few days?  What better people to hire than folks who
volunteer to work on a weekend for fun?
