With that in mind, possible fixes might include getting the latest
DBD::ODBC if you haven't already, updating or switching your ODBC
drivers, playing with the DSN settings if you're using a DSN, playing
with the parameters to DBI's connect method, or even with the ODBC
registry settings.

Also, lots of perl stuff seems to work better under NT than '95, so you
might try it from NT if you're not already.
