I've been talking to different people for a couple weeks about organising a
keysigning event this fall.  Given it is fall and there's the influx of
student activity in the Waterloo area, it might also make an excellent
opportunity to help people who have never used OpenPGP or other crypto
technologies to understand / set it up.

I am writing these lists/people as the first ones that came to my mind in
the area that might be interested.  If there is anyone else or any other
group you think might be interested, please forward this on to them.

One of the things I'm not sure about yet is venue.  Obviously not someplace
loun or crowded.  The Working Centre (where KWLUG meets) and the small room
at the back/front of the Accelerator Centre (where BarCamps happen) come to
mind as ideal, but I'm not sure what logistics/rules are about getting in to
such places.

We could always hold it somewhere at UW.  I'll be enrolled as a student and
able to book rooms.

I'm thinking an evening in September just now.  It depends on when people
are available.
