Sometimes you'd want to allow people to use the functions from your script and sometime you'd like to run your module as if it was a script. Based on the comments on the article and on <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/perl/comments/7jheqt/modulino_both_script_and_module_in_perl/">Reddit</a>, not everybody liked, but I learned that the word was actually coined by brian d foy. I also got some ideas for more use-cases.
