From amoore at mooresystems.com Mon Mar 7 12:13:19 2011 From: amoore at mooresystems.com (Andrew Moore) Date: Mon, 7 Mar 2011 14:13:19 -0600 Subject: [Kc] March meeting tomorrow night - The great perl book giveaway Message-ID: Hey KC.PMers - The second Tuesday of March is tomorrow, the 8th. That means it's time to get together for a pint and some tech talk. As usual, let's hit up Barley's in Shawnee at around 7pm. I'll grab a few hightops in the back room by the pool tables. I'll be bringing a large box of assorted perl and other tech books. My second son is due to arrive in a few months, so I have to give up my home office. I guess the little guy won't want to read "Perl Best Practices", so my wife has "encouraged" me to get rid of a bunch of books. My loss is your gain since I'll be giving these all away at the meeting. So, come for the free books, and stay for the nerd chat. See you all tomorrow 7pm at Barley's in Shawnee. -Andy From stephenclouse at gmail.com Mon Mar 7 12:23:27 2011 From: stephenclouse at gmail.com (Stephen Clouse) Date: Mon, 7 Mar 2011 14:23:27 -0600 Subject: [Kc] March meeting tomorrow night - The great perl book giveaway In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: On Mon, Mar 7, 2011 at 2:13 PM, Andrew Moore wrote: > The second Tuesday of March is tomorrow, the 8th. I'm bringing some books to give away. Many are oldies, but goodies. Some are just one or the other. Look for the group with a few hightops pushed together in the room with the pool tables. I'm looking forward to seeing you all! -Andy On Mon, Mar 7, 2011 at 2:13 PM, Andrew Moore wrote: > Hey KC.PMers - > > The second Tuesday of March is tomorrow, the 8th. Not sayin' I can make it (it's been over a year - why break a perfect streak?), but I figured I'd ask in the slight chance that I'm free by then. Hi John! Not particularly. I'm a terrible "cruise director" and never really plan a topic. But, I was hoping to ask folks if anyone had some useful advice for a weird caching that I have to implement. Also, I've been playing a lot with Form::Sensible, and could spend a few minutes evangelizing about it if I had a willing audience. If you were to make it, what question would you want to ask, and what question would you hope someone else asked you? -A From jmreinke at gmail.com Tue Mar 8 15:21:54 2011 From: jmreinke at gmail.com (John Reinke) Date: Tue, 8 Mar 2011 17:21:54 -0600 Subject: [Kc] Reminder: March meeting In-Reply-To: References: Message-ID: I don't have any specific questions at the moment. I'd enjoy just immersing myself in some perl talk now that I have a job which is all perl & mysql. I haven't kept up with all that has been going on in the perl community in the past few years.
