Thanks to those who came out to the meeting last night. We had good
turnout and covered a ton of topics. We even had one completely new
face join us. (Hi, Nels!)

While I spent a few moments talking about how Devel::REPL and
Carp::REPL can be used, we also chatted about some other groups that
may interest our members such as Agile KC and the CCCKC. Then, there
were a bunch of ideas on more ways we can reach out to local perl
programmers and others. I look forward to seeing some of those ideas
expanded.

The second Tuesday in April is April 14, and I'd love to have someone
volunteer to spend a few minutes to casually talk about something
perlish that interests them. Please speak up if you're interested.

Hey KC Perl Mongers and CCCKC -

I am trying to retrieve scan result information from Qualys from inside a
corporate network that has a proxy that requires authentication.

There seems to be a problem with LWP and proxy settings as found in the
following links.

But when I try the workarounds by using the environment variables for
http_proxy and/or https_proxy it still fails.

If anyone has seen this before or knows a quick fix, please let me know.  I
am tempted to just call wget which can authenticate to the proxy and pass
the Qualys credentials as well.

Here is my test code to just retrieve the scan_results from Qualys.

This may or may not be the only problem, but I notice that you're
using single quotes here with variables and escaped "@" in them.
Single quotes do not allow any interpolation in them, so those
variables aren't being replaced by their values, and the "@" sign will
still have a backslash in front of it. Perhaps you want to use double
quotes there. They allow variables to be interpolated inside them.

Perhaps one way to troubleshoot this would be to split the problem up.
First, try to hit a site that doesn't require authentication, thus
testing your ability to authenticate only to the proxy server. Then,
add the additional complexity of authenticating to qualys.com.

Yeah...  I was thinking on those same lines...

I replaced this line :

with this line :

Still fails
