As usual, the meeting will start at 7pm. Robert described the topic best: "I've been doing some work with the Zodiac Killer's Z408 Cipher (I'm tons of fun at cocktail parties!) which is a Homophonic Substitution Cipher. Namely, creating a new Crypt::Z408 module and experimenting with a way to brute force generic Homophonic Substitution Ciphers which may or may not bear fruit. We look forward to seeing you there. G. And I successfully questioned djb's SipHash claims to be a secure hash function in the hash table context, which would deserve a CCC talk to get rid of the ongoing siphash security theatre. But who pays for that. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... As developers we tend to have a stereotype of being up all night drinking mountain dew and stuffing our faces with cheesy poofs. As we all get older (and those damn kids keep skateboarding on the sidewalk!) we end up having to invest a bit more time and energy into staying in top mental form. Personally, I follow a ketogenic diet and the stronglifts 5x5 workout routine, and would be happy to discuss the details and effects they have. I think it would be interesting to know what everyone else is doing and perhaps get some new ideas. Alternatively, I would love a presentation on Websockets in Perl if someone is looking for an idea!
