[pm-h] mac apache and perl issues!

I am new to perl and have been trying to setup perl with dbd::mysql on my
mac. I have tried macports, cpan and brewperl but only have made things
worse. (I know this because when I comment out #LoadModule perl_module
libexec/apache2/mod_perl.so in httpd.conf perl works and not when
uncommented).

Can anyone guide me getting my apache and perl to play nice?
