I have arranged for a detailed talk and demonstation on the various different flavors of VMware (Workstation, GSX, ESX) from the folks at NSI http://www.nsiserv.com/ a local VMware reseller and VAR (and much more). Vinnie Graziano, Account Executive would like to buy dinner for the group while Jim Ruddy, a Senior Support Engineer will be delivering the technical presentation of the VMware flavors and benefits. Before I get back to them, I'd like to get a virtual show of hands to see what kind of interest we have in this talk so that I can try to give Vinnie and Jim a rough headcount so that they can make appropriate arrangements for food, drink, and other giveaway goodies. We may also want to consider cross posting this to the folks over at the GHGLUG and SCOSUG lists, and depending on what we think we'll see for attendance, we may need to move the meeting location to a larger venue (potentially NFA in Norwich, just a heads up). I've recently been introduced to VMware GSX and ESX, and it's some really exciting stuff. Thanks, Al Beauregard ]
